Poolball: Mark II

The improved board has cushions doubled in height to improve the bounce, and improved pockets made from foam. As well as this we have raised the playing surface off of ground for a greater playing experience.

Too much free time...

Based on a recent Budweiser advert and having a bit of spare time on my hands before my work placement starts. Myself and my flatmate decided to build a 3.5m x 1.7m poolball table. The game still needs a few minor adjustments but we intent to improve it in the future.

Human Spirograph

Tony Orrico — artist, dancer, human spirograph. He creates remarkable large-scale mock-mathematical drawings with a savant’s focus and a marathoner’s endurance, sometimes drawing for up to four hours continuously, hitting our soft spot for the intersection of art and mathematics with delicious precision

BA Design Year 2: Final VIVA Presentation

Here is the pdfs of my end of year presentation for my Studio Practice course. They document my initial 3 projects; Birth, Death and Marriage; Anti-Social; and a Live Project with Kin and Greenwich Maritime Museum. And then the changes I had made to each project for the VIVA stage.

Final Presentation

AC Milan Home 11/12

This is the new AC Milan home kit for the 2011-12 Italian Serie A season manufactured by Adidas.
The kit which was released today is a departure from last seasons strip white had only 2 black stripes down it, now umpteen black stripes grace this instantly recognisable top.
A lot more whte is also feature on the shirt, from my memory an unpresedented amount and the Adidas stripes have also been changed to white for the first time in Adidas' era

Recent topics have included tackling homophobia, the history of Argentinian football, why Dion Dublin is the new Keith Moon and the Vatican’s Clericus Cup.  We do Spain, Germany and most of the other top leagues too.  We’ll glance at the English Premier League sometimes….but most likely in a twisted way.

MTV Balloons

ParanoidBR director Dulcidio Caldeira shot this stop-motion ad for MTV Brazil, using bursting balloons to create a flip-book effect. To make the film, balloons were fastened onto a 200 meter long rail, and lined up via laser guide. "To achieve a moving picture effect, 10 balloons had to be popped per second, or 600 balloons per minute," Caldeira says. "It took nearly 24 straight hours to shoot the multiple takes needed."
