Maritime Museum Project with Kin Design: Midway stage

As part of my studio project, we have been working in small groups to a brief created by the Greenwich Maritime Museum and Kin Design. This is to create a travelling exhibit that communicates the use of longitude to children aged 8-11.

We created this longitude game based on using a canopy and crawling under this in a grid system, moving a ball from north to south as directed by the captain.

The player will crawl underneath the canopy under direction of where the ball is by the captain.

The floor is navigated by using the ultraviolet watch, that shows the degrees of longitude. The ball can be moved by pushing it from square to square.

As part of the brief, all the equipment must pack away into a 1x1x1 box.
